Candidate recommendations took place from September to November. The city received recommendations for nine candidates in various fields such as export, science and technology, venture companies, industry-academia cooperation, distribution and consumer protection, and agriculture from economic and scientific institutions, organizations, associations, and participating agencies.

Seok Ho-joon, the winner in the export category, exported products related to optical communication management systems to over 20 countries. He also received recognition for securing contracts worth over $10 million in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Son Mi-young, the winner in the science and technology category, developed the world's first technology for the maturation of human intestine organoids (organ-like structures), contributing to replacing and complementing animal experiments.
